When holding these fish to be released for a photo, please remember they are not designed to be held by the gill plate. Support the fish with both hands, one just behind the head and one just behind the belly. Less chance of causing damage to the gills from the tearing and stress on the gills. And keep in mind how much time they are out of the water, the drying of the eyes and the scales can cause damage.. I have released many great fish without a photo, due to issues customers have trying to…

Although I've lived in Florida my whole life, I've never actually been to the Florida Keys. I really want to check it out so I was thinking of getting a houseboat for a short vacation down there. Has anyone ever done this before? What kinds of costs would I be looking at for renting a boat so I can just enjoy my trip and avoid hotels and other expenses? I want to see the Keys at my own pace, ya know what I mean.
Has anyone been to Florida Keys before? What were some of your favorite…

I’ve always said I wanted a beach wedding and if I ever get married again, I want it to be on the beach with the wind in my hair and the sand beneath my feet. Beaches are so great for weddings that people from other climates and locations travel here to say “I do” on the sandy beaches. But since the beach has always been a part of me, it feels even more special to make such an important commitment in such a special place for me.
So what is one of the most important things for any…

Many years ago I lived in Florida and going to the beach was always fun and exciting. You had so many choices when it came to places to go. I lived in the Bradenton, Sarasota area and it was beautiful but I ended up moving away for a few years. Recently, I returned to the same area and was looking forward to enjoying many fun filled days on the beach but ended up being a little disappointed.
I’m finding it hard to find a public beach that is not so overcrowded that you don’t feel…

There appears to be some confusion on the difference between forum / discussions and blogs. In general, a forum/discussion is intended for two way conversations and/or questions and a blog can be thought of as more of a one way journal that can be commented on.
A blog (short for weblog) is a personal online journal that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. They are usually maintained by an individual with regular entries of commentary, descriptions of…
